Congratulations to our 1999 Divisionals Team!

Our Divisionals Team will consist of the top 4 from each discipline in the Pre-Novice, Novice, Junior and Senior events. WOS has qualified to send 70 skaters to the Central Divisional Championships in Brandon, MB, and will have 4 Senior skaters competing at the Western Divisionals in Edmonton. Congratulations and GOOD LUCK!
The top 3 finalists in Pre-Novice and Novice events will compete in the Ontario Canada Winter Games trials in Woodbridge, December 22.
The top 4 finalists from the Pre-Novice events at Divisionals AND our Sectionals Juvenile Champions will compete at Tomorrow's Champions in March in Fredricton, NB. This competition is the Canadian Championships for the top Juvenile and Pre-Novice competitors from across the country.
Several of our skaters were granted "Byes" from Sectionals, or through Divisionals, or have skated in another Sectionals, hence won't appear in the results, but are members of the WOS Divisionals or Canadians team.

Our Select Team, 1999: The WOS Select Team is composed of skaters or teams who placed 5-8 in Pre-Novice through to Senior AND also the top 3 placings from this year's Juvenile events at Sectionals. A wild card skater has been added to the team. Congratulations, Lindsay Hunt of the Hamilton SC. It was very gratifying to see that at the recent Sectional Championships, last year's Select Team won 4 Gold Medals, 4 Bronze Medals, and 6 skaters placed 4th and consequently made the Divisional Team. This showed remarkable improvement for these skaters and is a reflection on how hard they have worked over the last year. Congratulations!
