Burlington Skating Centre
... is looking for a Competitive Skating Coach for a large thriving skating centre of 1,200 skating members. Our requirements for this position are:
- NCCP Level 3 certified
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Currently coaching at the National or International level.
- Current First Aid
- Current Police Check
- Skate Canada Ethic Certification
The Burlington Skating Centre is open to any ideas for future competitive program development. The Burlington Skating Centre offers over 55hrs per week ice time 12 months of the year, in our brand new state of the art arena. There is plenty of opportunity to coach at all levels of skating. KWSC Competitive Singles Coach
The Kitchener Waterloo Skating Club (KWSC) is located in the twin cities of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, 100 Km (60 miles) west of Toronto. Our home facility is the Carolyn Fedy Skating Centre, in Waterloo at the RIM Park complex, which includes four Olympic size rinks, a mirrored, hardwood studio space, an athletic centre, food concessions, and a skate shop. In existence since 1938, the KWSC organizes programs from pre-school to adults. We operate competitive programs that have sent singles skaters, dance pairs, freeskate pairs, and synchronized teams to compete in the Canadian
Championships, as well as International Competitions. The KWSC is one of Canada's largest skating
clubs. Reporting directly to the Skating Programs Manager, the Competitive Singles coach will join the base
coach staff of KWSC and may have an opportunity to be contracted for various roles in planning and implementation as it relates to skating development from grassroots to elite. Job summary:
- Work as a base coach in various skating programs at KWSC
- To be recruited, to work as an enhancement coach for other KWSC coaches
Certification and Qualifications:
- Proven success at the elite national and/or international level
- NCCP level 3 minimum or equivalent
- Instructed skaters from grassroots to elite level
- Eligible to become or is a Skate Canada coaching member
- Demonstrated advanced communication, interpersonal skills

St. Thomas Skating Club
... is currently looking for qualified Level 1 coaches (and higher) for the 2012 Spring season - runs April - June offering CanSkate, CanPower, STARSkate sessions. We are accepting applications for the positions of synchronized skating coaches for the 2012/2013 season commencing in May 2012 through to April 5, 2013. The position consists of coaching a 4 week synchro workshop and a 2 week try out starting at the beginning of May 2012 on Tuesday nights from 5-7 pm at Timken arena, followed by the upcoming 2012/13 synchro season starting in August 2012 and ending in March 2013, choosing team levels and quantity of teams based on skater registration. It is the intent of the St. Thomas Skating Club to run 3 teams as long as registration numbers support this. If you have a preference to a specific team level please include this in your application.

Out-of-Section Positions
Gateway Skating Club (AB)
... of Edmonton, Alberta requires certified skating coaches to join our current team, and work with all level of skaters for the 2011-12 season. The ideal candidate will be at minimum a NCCP Primary STARskate Certified Coach (Level 1). The club offers about 32 hrs of ice between Monday and Saturday. We have a growing membership with about 60 private skaters and a large CanSkate and Jr STARSkate group program. Our STARSkate program remains strong and our competitive program is growing. Our season runs from Sept to mid May, and is followed by three weeks of ice with a reduced schedule in June and then 5-6 weeks of training in the summer.
Applicants must be enthusiastic and be willing to work in a team atmosphere. Applicants seeking full-time or part-time positions will be considered. The position involves:
- Working in a team environment
- Coaching on Preschool, CanSkate and Jr STARSkate Group sessions
- Immediate coverage of private lessons for current coaches of skaters in all disciplines – freeskate, dance and skills. This could include STARSkate and Competitive skaters depending on the credentials and experience of the applicant.
- An opportunity to build a portfolio of skaters
- Supporting all club events and our annual ice show
- Opportunities to accompany skaters to competitions

Skate Oakville
Skate Canada – Mount Forest
... is seeking a Level 2 Coach for 2011-12.
Skate Canada - Mount Forest is located just 40 minutes north of Guelph and 40 minutes east of Orangeville. We are an expanding club that requires additional coaching staff for the growing need in the PreJunior and StarSkate sessions for private and group lessons. Syncro and Special Olympic qualifications are an asset.
We are looking for a Level 2 or very experienced Level 1 coach who is interested in collaborating with the Board and our 5 Coaches to improve and develop our sessions and is available to teach at least 2 to 3 days a week. Sessions are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting in September and running till the end of March. Programs offered range from CanSkate, CanPower, TeenSkate, STARSkate, Syncro and Adult Learn to Skate & Syncro as well as Special Olympics. A motivated and team oriented Board of Directors, hard working kids and an excellent base of coaches will make your coaching experience with us rewarding.
