Ontario Section
What is WO?
Western Ontario Section is 1 of 4 Skate
Canada Sections within the province of Ontario, and 1 of 13
Sections within Skate Canada. Each section is administered by
an elected or appointed Section Executive and Board of Directors.
The WOS Board is in place to administer
the Section, to insure that Skate Canada programs are run efficiently
and to plan and provide programs to develop and enhance participation
by skaters of all ages, abilities, interests and ambitions. It
is also a resource body which offers support to its members and
currently 113 member clubs (as at August 2008).
What is a Skate Canada Section?
There are 13 Sections within Skate Canada, each with an appointed
and elected Board.
WO is Composed of 9 Regions

- Hallwent
- HOME
- Interclub North
- Kent
- Niagara
- Sun Parlour
- Tri-County
Regional Councils
Western Ontario Section is comprised of 9 regions. Each region
has its own Regional Council, with an executive. Regular meetings
are held to discuss such matters as regional test days, skater
development programs, and to act as a forum for an exchange of
ideas.
